So Blessed...

So often I am quick to take everything for granted. I have the BEST husband, wonderful parents who love each other and our family, a fabulous sister and her great family, and caring in-laws/Jacksons. After spending time with them this weekend (even though it wasn't long) I was once again reminded just how wonderful they are and how truly blessed I am. I can't imagine my life any different and I am so thankful for where it is going. I want to take the opportunity I have with this blog to thank my family.

You have all been so wonderful to me. Mom & Dad have the BEST advice, but of course, only when I ask for it! :) And, I have found the GREATEST friend in Keely. I have realized that whether it's 2 or 9 1/2, years cannot define the relationship that we know have. She is my BEST friend and I thank God daily for her and the difference she has made and continues to make in my life. And Brian...how did I get so lucky?!

I have learned so much from this family. God has truly blessed me with all of you.

Thank you and may God bless each and every one of you!!

Micah's Visit to Oklahoma

Well, with Brian at home in Texas, I needed a bodyguard for the weekend. Micah graciously volunteered his services. We have had a BIG time! We watched Jimmy Neutron at least 10 times, helped girls in the dorm, and made valentines. Micah made LOTS of valentines and was a big hit with the ladies. I think he'll be coming to OC when he's older!

We missed Brian, but we had a good time!

The Gun Cake

YAY for birthdays! Here is the gun cake I made for our 24 buddy on his birthday yesterday. Kendon liked it, and even busted in our door wielding a CTU issued glock (aka air-soft gun).

We had a great time. Happy Birthday Kendon!

New Web page

OK, so we have a new web page... I know, I know... That didn't take long. We can manage it entirely on our Mac, so it's way easy. Anyway, check it out. We'll update it more often after a while.

Someone Wanted OUR Opinion! No, REALLY!

We were interviewed for our school newspaper "The Talon" about going to teach in Japan. Just a few quotes, but it's still fun. Check it out!

And Keely, Jack has got to do what he's got to do. Leave him alone already! :)

YAY for Blogs!

It seems that our family has discovered the wonderful world of blogging, so here we go!

We are in the middle of what Oklahoma News is calling "Ice Storm 2007!" Sounds exciting doesn't it?! The title definitely takes the intensity to the next level! In all actuality, it has only caused mass chaos.
1. Stores are rapidly running out of food in fear of the ice storm.
2. Sand is being dumped on all streets to make the storm think we are actually in the desert, therefore convincing it to move to another state.
3. Public schools are cancelled for the 4th day in a row showing our future leaders that their education lies solely on the weather.
4. Hospitals are full of kids whose parents decided that pulling them behind the truck using an extension cord was a good idea. (true story!)
5. The number of cheesy news castings has tripled due to the necessity to interrupt the only good shows on TV.

No, I'm not bitter, just BORED! We've been stuck in the apartment with 180 students since Friday. Yes, we got out once or twice, but STILL! This is ridiculous!

And folks, it only gets worse... We are expecting to get anywhere from 5"-12" on Saturday! Wish us luck!
