It seems that our family has discovered the wonderful world of blogging, so here we go!
We are in the middle of what Oklahoma News is calling "Ice Storm 2007!" Sounds exciting doesn't it?! The title definitely takes the intensity to the next level! In all actuality, it has only caused mass chaos.
1. Stores are rapidly running out of food in fear of the ice storm.
2. Sand is being dumped on all streets to make the storm think we are actually in the desert, therefore convincing it to move to another state.
3. Public schools are cancelled for the 4th day in a row showing our future leaders that their education lies solely on the weather.
4. Hospitals are full of kids whose parents decided that pulling them behind the truck using an extension cord was a good idea. (true story!)
5. The number of cheesy news castings has tripled due to the necessity to interrupt the only good shows on TV.
No, I'm not bitter, just BORED! We've been stuck in the apartment with 180 students since Friday. Yes, we got out once or twice, but STILL! This is ridiculous!
And folks, it only gets worse... We are expecting to get anywhere from 5"-12" on Saturday! Wish us luck!

Also, what is Hatchet? Sounds Scary!
Finally, Yes, Jack all the way. I'm so glad you aren't in denial any more. Curtis is dead. Sad, but true.

Hey Lindsay ... looking forward to reading more. Am I the only one who noticed that you said your moving to Japan??? I guess homecooks already know. Is this true?
Just out of curiousity ... what church do you go to?
If Oklahoma had ski slopes, you would be praying for snow, huh? Not quite the same as being at Alta, Utah, huh?
